Don’t download this song
Weird Al, (was) a household name in parody (in the 90s,) has released his new single “Don’t Download This Song” for listenening on his myspace account (his myspace account?! For shame Al, for shame.) It’s a hilarious, tognue in cheek stabb at the RIAA.
Favorite line in the song:
“You start off stealing songs then your robbing liqour stores then selling crack and running kids over with your car.”
It really brings the ridiculousness of the RIAA’s tactics and propeganda to light in a way only Weird Al can. I suggest checking it out. Also there’s his song “You’re Pitiful” which James Blunt’s label wouldn’t let him put on his latest album so he’s offering it up free as well.
